FULL TIME QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR Winona Building Products, Plymouth, IN **Apply Now SUMMARY: The Quality Control Supervisor develops and executes Building Products test plans and product specifications to identify problems, their causes and initiate corrective action. Must generate Technical Datasheets and certificates of analysis and present to customers in a data-driven format on a timely basis. Provide immediate attention to customer complaints and assistance until solving the reported problem. Maintains compliance with the regulations and standards and update the current quality systems. Manages the QMS and maintains the UL and related product certifications to critical customers. The position will be an integral member of t staff and responsible for raw material and finished goods quality policies, procedures and verification. Will work to obtain ISO9001:2015 in 2020 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Refine, document, and manage the QMS to ensure initial ISO certification and then the Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to operations Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside re-certification of ISO Certification and UL . Create or maintain databases of known test defects management vendors, and customers Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures as needed per customer Perform the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions with the manufacturing process. Use of CAR's is a key element of organizational improvement. Instruct staff and employees in quality control and analytical procedures Instruct vendors on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficien Monitor development of new products to help identify possible problems for production. Provide updates to standard operating procedures or quality assurance manuals as needed Potential audit and inspect supplier facilities EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree with fundamentals of statistics and engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality with significa ork experience in a laminating manufacturing plant and/or in the Building Materials industry Experience in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing preferred. Solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Competency in ASTM STANDARDS TAPPI STANDARDS, UL Standards US and Canada. Understand building product standards from an environmental and functional perspective. Strong analytical skills. Be a team player and collaborate well in all job-related efforts. Ability to communicate with the management team employees, suppliers and key customers. Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions. Demonstrate ability to organize information. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator. Effectively manage time EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE AND TESTING PERFORMED: Operating knowledge of and experience with converting processes and coating technologies.
