King's Jewelry, Owned & Operated by Will& Nancy King for over 30 years in the Historic Downtown of Plymouth Indiana A Family Tradition, Eugene & Joanne Cook, Cook's Jewelry, Knox, Indiana (1953-1994), parents to Nancy (Cook) King passed along their passion to repair, recreate & repurpose jewelry. ugene Cook successfully completed the G.IA (Gemological Institute of America) Diamond Grading & Evaluation Course, the G.IA. Certified Gemmologist Course & the A.G.S. (American Gem Society) Registered Jewelers Course Nancy worked at Cook's Jewelry, Knox, Indiana for 14 years (1973-1987) all the while being mentored by her parents. She also completed Resident Basic & Advanced Jewelry Repair and Stone Setting Bench Courses at E.J. Swigart, Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio. Nancy has also successfully completed the G.LA Diamond Grading& Evaluation Course. Nancy honed her skills as a bench jeweler repairing jewelry as well as stone setting, wax jewelry design & casting under the guidance of her father Was privileged to be mentored by Edith Craigmile, McAllen, Texas leaming wax jewelry design &casting also attending Swest, Dallas, Texas furthering her knowledge in centrifugal jewelry casting. Will King (Nancy's husband) was a natural having been part owner of a pawn & jewelry store (1982-1987) and a co-owner with Nancy of King's Custom Casting& Design (1982-1987) in Knox, Indiana. Eugene & Jonne Cook. Cook's Jewelry, Knox, IN (1953-1994) Will successfully completed the G.I.A. Gold Seminar Course as well as Diamond, Colored Stones & Pearl Grading Courses. Wil has also completed the Resident Basic&Advanced Gemstone Setting Courses with Rio Grande, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Hands on in Tucson",Arizona Gloria Cook-Lorenz (Nancy's sister) joined King's in 1989 after graduating from Stephen's College, Kansas City Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts & minors in Business & Psychology. Gloria has successfully completed.the G.IA Diamond, Colored Stone & Peari Grading Courses. John Gough Nancy's nephew) joined King's in 2008. John's desire from day one was to learn the welry repair trade. John has successfully completed the Conner Jewelers School, Jewelry Repair & Setting Resident Course in 2008 as well as Resident Basic & Intermediate Stone Setting Course at Rio Grande, Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2010.
