Community Services of Starke County, Inr. Provides services to the elderly and low-income so they may maintain their independence in their own homes. Congregate meals are served to seniors over the age of 60 at two locations in Starke County: 311 E Culver Road, Knox and 105 E Talmer Avenue, North Judson. Meals should be reserved 3 weeks prior by calling 574-772-7070 (Knox site) or 574-896-3665 (North Judson site). A $3.00 donation per meal is requested. Case manager now available to help connect with proper resources (health, mental health, employment; etc.).Call Charmaine for an appointment at 574-772-7070. Public Transportation for all Starke County residents; minimal fare donation requested. Medicaid provider. Vehicles are accessible to those with disabilities. Food Pantry and Energy Assistance: Call 574-772-7070 to find out how to access the Food Pantry and the Energy Assistance Program during the current Public Health risk posed by COVID-19. Other services include call-a-day, Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), health equipment loan program, and referrals to the Weatherization Program.
